Behind the Foil: Get to know Chelsea, Foil Me's Graphic and Creative Designer

Collaborative and visionary, our creative team is at the heart of everything we do – so why not share that with our Movers? Our in-house Graphic Designer, Chelsea Winter, is responsible for bringing even the most elaborate and intricate foil designs to life. This week, we spoke with Chelsea to find out a little more about her and her role. Here’s what she had to say…

What is your role with Foil Me and how long have you worked here?

"I’m the graphic designer here at Foil Me, and I’ve worked here for almost four years."

What do you enjoy the most about working with Foil Me and the team?

"We have such an amazing team here at Foil Me. Everyone is so supportive and like-minded. Some of our best ideas come from spontaneous brainstorming sessions together. I love that I get to be creative in some capacity every single day and the work I do is so enjoyable."

Describe a typical day.

"My day usually starts with going through all the tags and mentions on our Foil Me IG account. Afterwards, I’ll check my to-do list and see if anything needs to be actioned. Once that is all out of the way I can get stuck into my creative work. This could be a new foil design, or making website updates, or even creating marketing material. No two days look the same and it’s something that I love about my job."

How you give back and why - what's the process and how often do you do it?

"I have been donating blood consistently for the past year. Lifeblood sends you a text message to update you on where your blood has gone, and how many lives it will save. It really makes the whole experience much more rewarding."

What is your favourite past time?

"I would say that my favourite past time is playing video games with my friends. But I also love swimming and going for long walks."

Something that has happened that has changed your life in some way!

"Last year I took the leap and purchased my first home! This was a huge achievement for me and changed my life in such a positive way. You really can’t put a price on being in your own space."

So, what collections has Chelsea worked her magic on? Well, all of them, really. Back in the day, Chelsea was tasked with having to digitalise illustrations that CEO and Creative Director, Emily Ciardiello, had originally drawn on paper. Specifically, The Wildflower and The So Serene are some old favourites for which this process was used. From drawing the designs to carefully crafting their unique colour palette, Chelsea has done some pretty amazing work during her time here at Foil Me – and it’s safe to say we’d be a little bit lost without her!
